On March 20th, 2017, the Warner River Nomination Committee made a formal presentation to the NH River’s Management Advisory Committee. The draft minutes of this meeting are available here.
On May 1, 2017, the Warner River Nomination Committee submitted a draft of the Warner River Nomination to Tracie Sales, NHDES RMPP River Coordinator, for review and final comments.
On June 1, 2017, the Warner River Nomination Committee submitted the final revised draft of the Warner River Nomination to the NH River’s Program of the NHDES. On July 11, 2017, 2pm – 5:15pm – The Warner Nomination Committee provided a tour of the proposed Warner River Designated Corridor to the NHDES’s Rivers Program and the NH River’s Management Advisory Committee.

On July 11, 6:30pm – 8:30pm – The NH River’s Program and the NH River’s Management Advisory Committee hosted a formal public hearing at the Warner Town Hall to accept public comments on the nomination of the Warner River into the NH Rivers Management and Protection Program. On August 29, 2017 the Rivers Management Advisory Committee unanimously approved the Warner River Nomination. On September 20, 2017 NHDES Commissioner Robert Scott approved the nomination and strongly recommended to Senate Chairman Kevin Avard and Senator Dan Feltes, prime sponsor, that the Warner River be nominated into the Rivers Management Protection Program. The Nomination and supporting documentation have been sent to the General Court and a draft legislative bill is written for the Nomination and scheduled into the 2018 Legislature’s calendar.
